Puget Sound lacrosse hosts Willamette Wednesday

TACOMA, Washington – A midweek Northwest Conference showdown between the Puget Sound lacrosse team and Willamette is set for Wednesday, April 10, in Baker Stadium at 4 p.m.

Food drive

The Loggers are hosting a food drive for the Emergency Food Network during Wednesday's game. Fans are encouraged to bring canned goods. 

 

Picking up the pace

After the starting the season with a 0-3 record, Puget Sound is 5-2 through its last seven games. One of those victories was an 8-5 road win at Willamette (March 19). Jenna Kisner, Hanna Nichols, and Ali Walker each scored two goals in the game.

 

Top scorers

Jenna Kisner (27 goals) and Ali Walker (26) are Puget Sound's top two goal scorers. They also rank No. 7 and No. 8 in the NWC for scoring so far this season.

 

Mastin's accuracy

Out of all NWC players to attempt at least 20 shots this season, Lauren Mastin has the second-best shots-on-goal percentage (92.0 percent).

 

Scouting Willamette (4-7, 2-4 NWC)

The Bearcats are 2-2 in their last four games. The wins were over Whitworth and Pacific, and the losses were to Linfield and Whitman. Anabel Ohsman (32 goals) is the team's high scorer, and Miranda Piros (24 goas) isn't far behind.
