After some rest, lacrosse heads east to take on the Whits

TACOMA, Washington – Following a much-needed break in its schedule, the Puget Sound lacrosse returns to Northwest Conference action at Whitworth (April 19) and Whitman (April 20) this weekend.

Catch a breath

The Loggers opened the 2019 season with six games in a 12-day span, including a two-game stint in Colorado. One week after returning from Colorado, Puget Sound competed in five games through another 12-day span.

 

Winning record

The Loggers lost their first three games of the season, but they have since won six out of eight games. Puget Sound's 10-6 win over Willamette (April 10) gave the Loggers a winning record (6-5) for the first time this season.

 

Freshman leader

Jenna Kisner's 41 points this season leads Puget Sound and ranks ninth in the NWC. She has nine multi-goal games to her credit, including three four-goal performances in the last four games.

 

Walk this way

Ali Walker's 48 draw controls are tops for the Loggers and rank fifth in the NWC. With 27 goals and seven assists, Walker is Puget Sound's No. 2 leader in points (34).

 

Defensive leaders

Sara Burke leads the Loggers with 15 caused turnovers. Hanna Nichols and Jenna Kisner closely follow with 14, each.

 

The Whits again

Earlier this season, Puget Sound beat Whitworth, 15-8, in Baker Stadium (March 31). Whitman beat the Loggers, 21-6, in Tacoma (March 30). Between the two games, Jenna Kisner totaled seven goals and three assists, and Lauren Mastin netted six goals on the weekend.
