Comeback bid falls short at Whitman

WALLA WALLA, Washington – For the second consecutive day the Puget Sound lacrosse team put together a big second half, but this time it wasn't enough in a 12-10 loss at Whitman Saturday afternoon.

Puget Sound found itself in an 8-1 deficit at halftime, but the Loggers strung together four consecutive goals to make it a three-score game, 11-8.

Four different Loggers scored during the 4-0 run. Jenna Kisner got it started with a goal 13 minutes into the second half. Thirty seconds later Lauren Mastin scored, and Ali Walker tallied a goal less than three minutes later. Another 30 seconds after Walker's goal, Deryn Gersoff found the back of the net.

Kisner, Mastin, and Rebecca Simon each scored two goals in the game.

Puget Sound returns home to host Linfield April 27, starting at 1 p.m.
