THE STREAK GOES ON: The Loggers won their 11th consecutive NWC title this year. In doing so, they extended the longest active title streak in Division III women's soccer. It is also the Loggers' 12th title in 13 years. The last time they didn't win the title was the 2001 season when Willamette took the title.
ABOUT TRINITY: The Loggers first round opponent comes in with a 14-1-2 record. They have outscored opponents 78-8 this season, led by 18 goals from Shelby Guenthardt. Stephanie Sagovia and Kelsey Falcone have also reached doube digits in scoring. Katie Garrett has spent the most time in goal with three shutouts and 36 saves.
ON A HOT STREAK: The Loggers are coming into the tournament on fire. Since losing to Linfield on Oct. 21, the Loggers have won five straight matches and scored multiple goals in each match. The Loggers are averaging three goals a match since their last loss and have allowed just two goals in that span.
ROSENBERG, HENLE FINDING THE NET: In the last five matches, Haley Rosenberg and Theresa Henle have combined to score 11 of the Loggers' 18 goals. Henle has scored in each of those five matches, tallying six goals and one assist. Rosenberg has scored five goals and tallied one assist in that time, scoring in four of the five matches.
HANSON HONORED AGAIN: Head Coach Randy Hanson was honored for the 10th time in his career as the Northwest Conference Coach of the Year. Hanson has led the Loggers into the NCAA Tournament 11 times and has made a run as deep as the national championship game, which came in 2004.
LOGGERS DEFENSE STIFF AS EVER: The Loggers once again proved to be one of the best defensive teams in the Northwest, allowing just seven goals in NWC play. That is the lowest total among all nine NWC schools. They allowed just 11 goals on the season and recorded 11 shutouts.
LOOKING TO MAKE A RUN: The NCAA Tournament is a familiar place for the Loggers, but its been a few years since they have advanced past the first round. The Loggers are 0-4-1 in their last five appearance after being eliminated on penalty kick against Concordia-Moorehead last year. This year, the Loggers will face the daunting task of playing the No. 1 team in the West Region, Trinity, in the first round.
