TACOMA, Washington – Three Loggers earned National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-West Region honors, the NSCAA announced recently. Senior midfielder Grayson Williams-Krebs earned All-Region First Team, while senior defender Bailey Edwards was named to the Second Team, and senior forward Annie Prickett was named to the Third Team.
Williams-Krebs, a Lake Oswego, Oregon, native, was the Loggers' leading scorer in 2016. She scored eight goals, which was good for second in the Northwest Conference. The senior also tallied four assists (good for fifth in the NWC), and her 20 points were the second most in the conference. Williams-Krebs also recorded the second most game-winning goals in the league, with four. She was named to the Northwest Conference First Team for her play in 2016.
Edwards, from Tacoma, Washington, helped anchor the backline of the Loggers for four years. During the 2016 season, the team recorded 11 shutouts in 20 games. The senior also scored four goals, including one game-winner, this year. Edwards was named to the Northwest Conference First Team in 2016.
Prickett, a Bozeman, Montana, native, scored three goals this season, all of which were game-winners. Those three game-winning goals ranked second on the squad. The senior also tallied three assists this season, and was named to the All-Northwest Conference Second Team.
The Loggers finished the 2016 season with a 13-4-3 overall record, and a 10-3-3 record in the league, good for second place. The team's 33 goals, 22 assists, 13 goals against, and 0.63 GAA were all ranked second in the conference.
