TACOMA, Washington – Jamie Lange blanked the opposition for the second consecutive game as the Puget Sound women's soccer team battled to 0-0 tie against Eastern Oregon on East Field Friday afternoon.
Lange finished with 10 saves, including three between the two extra periods. Tayla MacPherson nearly gave the Loggers (1-1-1) a win in the 89th minute, when her shot banged off the crossbar. MacPherson put another shot on goal in the 108th minute, but Mountaineers' goalie Val Gaffney was there to make the stop.
Eastern Oregon (1-1-1) outshot the Loggers, 18-8, including a 3-1 advantage between the overtime periods.
Through the first three games of the season, Lange has 25 saves to go along with a 0.62 goals-against average.
The Loggers have a day off before hosting Evergreen State on Sunday, Sept. 10, at 12 p.m.
