TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound women's soccer team puts its eight-game unbeaten streak on the line when it hosts Lewis & Clark on Saturday, Oct. 21, at 12 p.m. on Peyton Field.

The Loggers have had their foot on the gas since October 1, posting a 5-0-1 record so far this month. Puget Sound has outscored the opposition, 8-1, during that stretch.


No goals for you

Puget Sound hasn't allowed a goal since the 90th minute of a 3-1 victory at Willamette on Oct. 1. Goalkeeper Jamie Lange's consecutive scoreless minutes streak is at 437.


A great day to beat the Lutes

The Loggers edged out Pacific Lutheran, 1-0, earlier this week (Oct. 18) on Peyton Field. The Lutes were whistled for a handball inside the box in the 58th minute, and Jacquelyn Anderson buried the penalty kick. Jamie Lange recorded six saves in the win.


Conference landscape

Puget Sound enters the weekend in third place in the Northwest Conference with 23 points. Pacific Lutheran (27 points) is in first place, followed by Whitworth (25 points). Willamette is in fourth place with 19 points.


Scouting Lewis & Clark (3-9-2, 2-7-1 NWC)

After starting the conference season with five consecutive losses, the Pioneers are 2-2-1 in their last five games. Kennie Beighle and McKenzie Wingard are tied for the team lead in goals with four, apiece. Goalkeeper Hannah Osmundson has a 1.64 goals-against average and .744 save percentage. Puget Sound beat Lewis & Clark earlier this season, 1-0 (Sept. 23).
