TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound women's soccer team pushed its unbeaten streak to 11 games with its Senior Day win over George Fox, 2-0, at Baker Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
In the 20th minute Puget Sound (11-4-2, 10-1-2 NWC) began a quick counter-attack, and CeAnn Romanaggi netted her first goal of the season off of a long pass from Kendra Elderkin. The George Fox goalkeeper came off her line, but Romanaggi got to the ball first and pushed it past the goalie.
Twenty-three minutes into the second period, Kylee Roath scored by heading in a corner kick from Romanaggi.
Jamie Lang made eight saves during the game. On the other end of the field, Puget Sound put four total shots on goal.
Prior to the game, Puget Sound celebrated its seniors and loved ones: Erin Brosnan, Maggie Decena, Kendra Elderkin, Kellcy Emory, Jamie Lange, Tayla MacPherson, Elizabeth McGraw, Sarah Morscheck, Lura Morton, TTess Peppis, Paulina Thrasher, and Elisabeth Webber.
Puget Sound will take on Pacific Lutheran at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 31, in Parkland, Washington.
