Loggers Fall 9-0 To Seattle U.

TACOMA, Wash. – The Puget Sound women's tennis team fell 9-0 to NCA Division I opponent Seattle University on Sunday. The Logger (1-2) dropped their second consecutive match.

Seattle U. got off to a good start winning all three doubles points. Freshmen Josie Dow and Allison Embernate lost 8-2 in the No. 1 match as did Logan Thompson and Marissa Friedman at No. 2. Mikaela Peterson and Anna Lambert won 8-0 for the Redhawks at No. 3.

Alex Farrar and Lindsey Newman took 6-0, 6-0 wins to start off for the Redhawks. Thompson fell 6-2, 6-0 at No. 3 and Dow lost 6-2, 6-4 at No. 5. Ada Yu fell in the No. 6 match 6-1, 6-2 to Natalie Martin.

The Loggers host Whitworth next Friday at 4 p.m.
