Men's and women's tennis fall to rival Pacific Lutheran

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's tennis team lost to visiting Pacific Lutheran, 6-3, on Saturday, while the women's team lost at the Lutes, 6-0.

Joe McRoberts won the No. 1 singles match by overcoming a 6-2 loss in the first set. He won the last two sets, 6-1, 6-2. Jacob Kompolt also overcame a first-set loss, 7-6, and won the final two sets of the No. 6 singles bout, 6-4, 6-2. McRoberts and Andrew Struzenberg won the No. 1 doubles match, 8-6.

Both women's doubles teams lost by an 8-4 margin. Elizabath Chao and Tresa Bild battled at No. 1 doubles, while Tamara Runnicles and Claire Fitzgerald competed at the No. 2 spot.

The men host Willamette on Sunday, April 5, at 11 a.m., and the women next compete at home against PLU on Sunday, April 12, at 10:30 a.m.
