TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's and women's tennis teams battle the "Whits" this weekend. The Logger men host Whitman for two matches on Saturday, April 8, starting at 10 a.m., and then host Whitworth on Sunday at 10 a.m. The Logger women are on the road at Whitman on Saturday, and then play at Whitworth on Sunday. Both matches are at 10 a.m.
Despite an 8-1 loss against Colorado College in their most recent match (March 21), the Logger women have won five of their last seven contests. One of those victories was a 5-4 triumph over Whitworth.
The Puget Sound women are in fifth place in the Northwest Conference with a 5-4 conference record (7-6 overall). Whitman is in first place with a 9-1 NWC mark (11-5 overall). The Logger men (0-8, 0-7 NWC) are last in the NWC, while Whitman (16-5, 7-0 NWC) stands atop the league standings.
The Puget Sound women return home on April 14 to host College of Idaho. and the men compete on the road for the last three matches of the season following this weekend.
