Loggers Up To No. 4 In West Region, 13th Nationally

INDIANAPOLIS – The Puget Sound volleyball team moved up to fourth in the NCAA's West Region rankings and 13th in the American Volleyball Coaches Association's national poll this week. Neither poll to the Loggers win over Pacific Lutheran on Wednesday into account.

The Loggers closed out their home schedule on a four-match win streak with two wins last weekend. Jakcie Harvey earned National Player of the Week honors from the AVCA for her outstanding weekend on the court.

The Loggers kept their title hopes alive with a win on Wednesday at Pacific Lutheran. A Lute loss tonight and a Logger win on Saturday would result in the teams sharing the NWC title and the Loggers clinching the automatic qualification into the NCAA Tournament.

The Loggers close out the 2012 regular season at Lewis & Clark on Saturday. PLU plays their final match at George Fox tonight at 7 p.m.
