Looking to finish strong

By mid-October, Puget Sound held a 13-5 overall record. However, the Loggers have lost of their last four games. Willamette is seventh in the NWC standings, while George Fox is last.

A league of her own

Hannah Stinson leads the Northwest Conference in kill-percentage by a wide margin. The junior is hitting at a .333 clip, and the next-closest mark is Pacific Lutheran's Mackenzie Harris at .308. Stinson is fifth in the NWC with 241 kills.

Can you dig it?

Rachael Garrison has steadily climbed the NWC leaderboard for digs per set. She ranks third in the league with 5.32 digs per set. Garrison has finished with at least 20 digs in five consecutive matches, and her 447 total digs this season is the second-most in the NWC.

Versatile Lane

Among the 18 NWC players averaging at least 2.00 kills per set, Kristen Lane leads the group with 3.43 digs per set.

Scouting George Fox (4-18, 2-12 NWC)

The last-place Bruins enter the weekend with a three-game losing streak and have lost nine of their last 10 games. George Fox struggles offensively, as its 2,393 attack attempts is last in the NWC by more than 100 attempts. Aside from Lewis & Clark, the Bruins have the league's worst hitting percentage (.130). The Loggers beat George Fox, 3-0, at home on Oct. 7.

Scouting Willamette (7-15, 5-9 NWC)

The Bearcats are an even .500 through their last four games, including a 3-2 win over Whitman and a 3-0 win over George Fox. Alexa Dowdell is second in the NWC with 3.47 kills per set, and Kaylen Higa leads the league with 463 digs. Puget Sound swept the Bearcats, 3-0, at home on Oct. 8.
