Quick turnaround for volleyball, Loggers host Pioneers

TACOMA, Washington – Puget Sound's Homecoming and Family Weekend wouldn't be complete without a volleyball match. The Loggers host Lewis & Clark on Saturday, October 7, at 6 p.m. in Memorial Fieldhouse.

Shake it off

The Loggers lost to Pacific Lutheran, 3-0, at home Wednesday night. Puget Sound had one of its worst offensive nights in recent years, as it finished with a -.017 attack percentage.


Silver lining

Katarina Moffett had one of the best games of her Puget Sound career against the Lutes. She finished with eight kills and a .190 attack percentage.


Around the NWC

Pacific Lutheran (6-1), Pacific (5-1), and Whitworth (5-1) all have just one loss in conference play. Whitman (3-3) is a half game ahead of Puget Sound (3-4) in the standings. Three teams are 2-4 in the NWC: Linfield, Willamette, George Fox. Lewis & Clark (0-6) is still winless in conference play.


Scouting Lewis & Clark (0-6, 1-12 NWC)

The last-place Pioneers are, expectedly, last in NWC for hitting percentage (.099). However, Kortney Meyer ranks fourth in the league with 141 kills. Annika San Nicolas leads the team with 185 digs.
