Dexter's first double-double leads to 3-1 win over Willamette

TACOMA, WashingtonRita Dexter led all players with 19 kills and added a season-high 19 digs for her first double-double of the season as the Loggers topped Willamette, 3-1 (25-21, 24-26, 26-24, 25-19) in Memorial Fieldhouse Friday night.

Dexter's previous high for digs this season was nine, during the Loggers' 3-1 win over Pacific (Oct. 21). Dexter's 19 kills match her career-high.

Freshman Melanie Siacotos set a new personal-best for kills (17) for the third consecutive match. Siacotos had 11 kills against George Fox (Oct. 20), followed by new personal standard of 12 kills against Pacific (Oct. 21).

Kristen Miguel added 13 kills in the win, marking her eighth game this year with 10+ kills. Moira McVicar assisted on 49 Logger points, tying her third-highest season mark this season.

The Loggers (9-11, 6-7 NWC) totaled six blocks, while the Bearcats (7-14, 4-9 NWC) managed four. Puget Sound also came away with 13 more digs, 94-81.

Puget Sound honors its senior class before a 7 p.m. matchup against Linfield on Saturday, Oct. 28.
