Reynolds Top DIII Finisher in Sundodger Open

SEATTLE, Wash. - Finishing just 21 seconds off the pace, junior Francis Reynolds (Palo Alto, Calif.) placed sixth out of 134 runners in the men's eight-kilometer Sundodger Open on Saturday morning at Lincoln Park in Seattle, Wash.  On the women's side, Emma Kelsey (Bayside, Calif./Arcata) paced the UPS women, finishing 15th.

Reynolds finished the course in 25:04 to lead the Loggers to a seventh place finish among 15 teams.  Andrew Bonica (Tualatin, Ore.) was the second Logger across the line, collecting a time of 25:59 to finish in 27th place.  Freshman Casey Wall (Portland, Ore./Cleveland) finished 43rd with a time of 26:28.

On the women's side, Kelsey finished the six-kilometer race in a time of 22:46.  Hayley Walker (Cambria, Calif./Coast Union) took 48th overall with a time of 23:59 as the Loggers placed 10th among 13 teams.  Current Logger assistant coach Brittany Hodgson finished in seventh place with a time of 22:04, running unattached.

The Loggers will next lace up their running shoes on Oct. 4 when they travel to Oregon for the Willamette Invitational at Bush Park in Salem, Ore.
