SALEM, Ore. – The Puget Sound cross country teams were back on the course this weekend with men's team continuing to post some impressive results. The Logger men finished just two points behind Willamette as the top Division III teams at the Chuck Bowles Inviational.
Matt Klein once again paced the group. He finished 19th with a 25:41.18. David Santillan and Gabriel Michaels were the next two Loggers to finish as both ran personal-bests. Santillan finished 32nd with a 26:08.84 while Michaels was 36th at 26:10.62. Josh Seekatz's time of 26:34.01 placed him 60th and Justin Bigelow's personal-best rounded out the Logger scoring in 70th.
The Logger men tallied 212 points to finish sixth overall but just two points behind Willamette as the top Division III team in the meet.
Carrie Keith led the Logger women at the same meet in a 6k race. Keith finished 91st with a 19:41.76. Laura Leach was next to finish at 19:59.61 in 111th. Taili Ni finished 130th with a time of 20:15.79 and Tori Sarris finished with a time of 20:28.39 as the fourth Logger to finish in 141st. Emma Barr's personal-best of 20:31.09 rounded out the Logger scoring.
Next up for the Loggers is the Pioneer Invitational in Estacada, Ore. on Oct. 13.
