TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound cross country teams make their way up I-5 for the Sundodger Invitational in Seattle on Saturday, Sept. 16. Washington hosts men's and women's races in Lincoln Park. The women's 6k begins at 9 a.m., and the men's 8k starts at 9:40 a.m.
The Logger women opened the 2017 season by winning the Puget Sound Invitational (Sept. 2) in Ft. Steilacoom Park. Six Logger women placed in the top seven, led by Rachael Metzler's time of 24:18.00. The freshman went on to be named the Logger Club Logger of the Week. The Puget Sound men placed fourth overall, led by Liam Monaghan's time of 28:49.00.
Last year's Sundodger
Several Loggers set personal records during the 2016 Sundodger Invitational. Among this year's returners, Terra Wildon timed in at 24:21.30, and Jack Monaghan crossed the finish line in 26:48.10.
The Loggers' next race is in Salem, Oregon, for the Chuck Bowles Invitational.
