Loggers race against deep fields in Charles Bowles Invite

SALEM, Oregon – The Puget Sound women's cross country team placed ninth out of 18 teams in the Charles Bowles Invitational hosted by Willamette on Saturday. The Loggers came away with 209 points. The Logger men finished 17th as a team, totaling 450 points. 

Results

Samantha Schaffer paced the Logger women, placing 24th overall with a time of 18:30.7. Rachael Metzler was the next finisher for Puget Sound, crossing the finish line in 18:38.6 (30th overall).

Liam Monaghan was top finisher for the Logger men, placing 79th out of 155 runners. He finished the 8k in 27:00.1. Tommy Kimler placed 90th over all with a time of 27:17.6.

The Logger teams next compete in the Pioneer Invitational (Oct. 14) before the Northwest Conference Championships (Oct. 28).
