Madison Van Wylen joined the Puget Sound cross country and track & field coaching staff in August 2017. Van Wylen obtained a Level 1 degree through the USATF Coaching Education Program certified by the National Council for Accreditation of Coaching Education.
As a student-athlete at St. Olaf College (Minn.), Van Wylen was an USTFCCCA All-Academic honoree. She helped lead the team as a two-time captain and was voted MVP twice by her teammates. Van Wylen was a Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Indoor Pentathlon Champion and an All-Regional Pentathlete. She was an All-Conference Champion in the 4x400 (twice) and 4x200; and All-Conference Honorable Mention in the long jump, high jump, 400 hurdles, 4x400 (twice), 4x200 (twice), and 4x100.
At Puget Sound, Van Wylen focuses on recruiting outreach and coaching sprints and jumps.
