TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men’s tennis team rounded out is first weekend of competition with a 7-2 loss at Linfield, while the women hosted and lost to Linfield, 9-0, on Sunday.
Colton Wright picked up a win for the Logger men at No. 3 singles, (6-3, 6-3), and Connor McDaniel captured the other Puget Sound victory at No. 5 singles, (6-4, 6-1). On the women’s side, the No. 2 doubles team of Tresa Bild and Farrell Ahlf gave the Wildcats a run, but ultimately lost, 8-5.
Both the Puget Sound men and women drop to 0-2 on the young season. The women play at George Fox on Friday, Feb. 27 at 4 p.m., and the men next host Pacific on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 1 p.m.
