Tacoma represents for Loggers of the Week

TACOMA, Washington – A quartet of Loggers from Tacoma and Greater Tacoma had a superb weekend, and the four have been named the Logger Club Loggers of the Week.

 

AJ Johnson (Lincoln High School)

A D3football.com Preseason Second Team All-American, Johnson matched his career in receptions (14) during the Puget Sound football team's 21-17 victory over Claremont-M-S in Baker Stadium (Sept. 7). The senior totaled 150 receiving yards and added two touchdowns.

 

Jordan Ubaldo (Mount Tahoma High School)

Making his first-career start at defensive end for the Logger football team, Ubaldo totaled five tackles and two sacks against Claremont-M-S. The Puget Sound defense limited the Stags to just three points through the game's final three quarters.

 

Angel Herrera-Flores (Lincoln High School)

Men's soccer sophomore Herrera-Flores netted a career-high three goals during the Loggers' 8-0 victory over Multnomah (Sept. 7). Puget Sound is unbeaten through the first three games of the season.

 

Colin Monaghan (Puyallup High School)

Monaghan, the reigning Northwest Conference Men's Cross Country Champion, placed fourth overall in a field of 57 runners during the Viking Rust Buster hosted by Portland State (Sept. 7). The race featured numerous NCAA D-I student-athletes.
