TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound baseball team plays in its final non-conference game of the season when the Loggers host No. 12 Cal Lutheran on Thursday, April 13. First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.

Strong starts

Eric Crispell continued a string of strong performances by Puget Sound starting pitchers, as he allowed just one earned run through six innings against Linfield on Tuesday. The senior struck out five and scattered seven hits. Through the past four contests, Logger starting pitchers have combined for a 3.09 ERA (23.1 IP).


Three for Roberts

Corey Roberts finished 3-for-4 with an RBI against Linfield on Tuesday, marking his second three-hit game of the season. Roberts went 3-for-4 with an RBI at Whitman (April 1). The freshman has nine hits in his last 16 at-bats (.563).


You get a homer, you get a homer ...

Puget Sound has seven home runs hit by seven different Loggers this season: Ricardo Barraza, Ryan Darrow, James Dejesus, Connor Dunn, Matt Shelhamer, Mason Quinlan, and Nolan Wiler.


Scouting Cal Lutheran (21-6, 13-5 SCIAC)

The Kingsmen have the most wins in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and they enter Thursday's contest with a 14-game winnings streak. Cal Lutheran is hitting .295, and its pitching staff holds a 3.38 ERA. Max Weinstein and Gabe Gunter are tied for the team lead with three home runs, each. Starting pitcher Nate Wehner leads the Kingsmen with five wins a 1.62 ERA. Cal Lutheran is ranked No. 12 in the latest D3baseball.com national poll.
