Logger boats total eight wins at PLU Invitational

LAKEWOOD, Washington – Puget Sound women's crew won five races, and the men won three, as  Puget Sound opened the 2018 spring season in convincing fashion during the Pacific Lutheran Invitational on American Lake Saturday morning.


The women's varsity-eight timed in at 7:10.6 when it beat Seattle Pacific. The women's second varsity-eight was also victorious over Seattle Pacific, timing in at 7:23.2. The W2V8 boat also beat Western Washington. The women's varsity-four crossed the finish line in 7:50.80 to beat Seattle Pacific. The Loggers' W3V8 picked up the fifth victory of the day over Pacific Lutheran.

In men's races, the novice-four beat Seattle University and Western Washington. The MV8 beat a Western Washington novice boat. Puget Sound came up less than one second short against a Western Washington varsity-eight boat. 

The Loggers to head-to-head against Pacific Lutheran in the Meyer/Lamberth Cup on American Lake, March 24.
