Rutledge picks up second NWC honor

TACOMA, Washington – For the second time this season, Puget Sound sophomore quarterback Murdock Rutledge is the Northwest Conference Student-Athlete of the Week for offense.

Rutledge threw for a career-high 478 yards during the Loggers' 42-28 win at Willamette (Oct. 27), and he threw four touchdown passes.

Rutledge leads the NWC in touchdown passes with 20, which is 10 away from tying Duncan White's single-season program set in 2010. Rutledge previously earned NWC Student-Athlete of the Week following the Loggers' 56-28 win at La Verne (Sept. 15). He threw for 359 yards and five touchdowns through just 2.5 quarters.

Six different Loggers have combined for seven NWC weekly honors this fall.

Saturday, Nov. 3, is Senior Day as the Loggers host Linfield for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
