Men's tennis hosts Willamette and Pacific; women on the road

TACOMA, Washington – For the first time in March, the Puget Sound men's tennis team hosts a pair of Northwest Conference matches when it welcomes Willamette (March 16) and Pacific (March 17) to the Tennis Pavilion this weekend. Meanwhile, the Logger women compete on the road against the Bearcats and Boxers.

Dual honor

Nicole Bouche and Lisa Owen were named the Loggers of the Week after hosting Lewis & Clark and George Fox last weekend. Bouche and Owen remained undefeated against NCAA D-III competition in both singles and doubles matches.

Back at home

The Puget Sound men compete at home for the first time since Feb. 24, when the Loggers hosted Whitworth. Puget Sound is still battling for its first match win of the season.

Around the conference

The Logger women are 2-3 overall and 1-1 in the NWC, which is good for fifth place. Linfield is in first place with a 2-0 NWC record (8-2 overall). Whitman and Lewis & Clark are both 2-1 in the conference. On the men's side, Lewis & Clark (3-0), George Fox (2-0), and Whitman (2-0) are all unbeaten in conference action.

Looking ahead

The Logger teams travel to California during spring break, where the Puget Sound men and women will compete against Cal Lutheran, Occidental, and Whittier.
