TACOMA, Washington – The 2018 Puget Sound softball season begins in southern California this weekend, where the Loggers player a doubleheader at Occidental Saturday Feb. 3, starting at 12 p.m., followed by a doubleheader at Marymount California Sunday, Feb. 4, starting at 12 p.m.
The Loggers return four seniors who played in all 39 games in 2017, and four more Loggers are back after playing in at least 30 games last spring. Click HERE for a full season preview.
About the opposition
Based in Los Angeles, Occidental is an NCAA D-III member of the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The SCIAC head coaches preseason poll predicts the Tigers will finish fifth out of nine teams. Marymount California is an NAIA based in Ranchos Palos Verdes, California. The Mariners are a member of the California Pacific Conference.
Puget Sound is scheduled to open its home slate against NAIA Northwest University with two games on Saturday, Feb. 10.
