Callahan, Reimers lead Loggers to wins over Willamette

TACOMA, WashingtonKelli Callahan and Dylan Reimers continue to dominate Northwest Conference duals action as both Loggers won three events against Willamette in Wallace Pool Saturday afternoon. The Logger women topped the Bearcats, 153-52, and the Logger men were victorious, 121-82.

Through four NWC dual meets this season, Callahan has finished first in all 12 of her races. Saturday, the sophomore won the 200-freestyle (1:57.33) and the 200-breaststroke (2:30.82). She was on the first-place 400-medley relay team (4:08.85) with Kassidy Cook, Calista Skog, and Kai Haven.

Skog also won the 200-IM (2:17.67) and the 200-butterfly (2:16.00). Cook took first place in the 200-backstroke (2:12.18). Kaya DiMicco also picked up nine points for the Loggers by winning the 100-freestyle (56.17). 

On the men's side, Reimers won the 500-freestyle (4:46.74) and the 200-IM (2:00.22). He teamed up with Ian Conery, Justin Sasano, and Cody Dodge to win the 400-medley relay (3:40.87).

Sasano won the 200-freestyle by touching the wall in 1:50.00, and Conery won the 200-breastroke (2:16.49). Nick Mitchell took first place in the 1,000-freestyle by timing in at 11:23.95.

Puget Sound is off for a couple of weeks before hosting the Logger Invitational, Dec. 1-3.
