Women's swimming edges out Linfield

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound women's swim team won its second Northwest Conference dual in as many days with a 103-102 victory over visiting Linfield. The Logger men lost to the Wildcats, 110-78.


Kelli Callahan won the women's 200-IM by touching the wall in 2:10.07, and she was victorious in the 200-breaststroke with a time of 2:28.26. Calista Skog also picked a couple of individual wins for the Loggers. She was first in the 50-freestyle (24.73) and first in the 100-freestyle (54.31). 

Skog and Callahan, along with Aza Verhoeven and Erin Jenkins, won the 400 medley relay (4:06.55). 

In men's races, Brett Kolb won the 200-IM (2:03.33) for Puget Sound, and Reimers won the 500-freestyle (4:51.08). Ian Conery also picked up a first-place finish by touching the wall in 2:17.11

The Don Duncan Alumni Meet is set for Nov. 10, and the Loggers continue NWC duals at Pacific, Nov. 16.
