Senior swimmers prepare for final duals in Wallace Pool

TACOMA, Washington – Puget Sound celebrates its senior class this weekend when the Logger men's and women's swim teams host George Fox Friday, Jan. 18, and Willamette Saturday, Jan. 19.


Senior sendoff

Leading into Saturday's meet against the Bearcats, Puget Sound will celebrate its 11 senior swimmers: Genevieve Cagigas, Ian Conery, Allison Hoops, Connor King, Kristian Kotchick, Emm Staton, Austin Stiver, Aza Verhoeven, Patrick Wigger, and Aaron Zevenbergen.

Skog showcases skills

Calista Skog won three individual events between duals at Whitman and Whitworth last weekend. She won the 100-yard freestyle (56.10) at Whitworth, and she was victorious in both the 200 freestyle (2:00.99) and 100 butterfly (1:00.21) at Whitman.


Reimers getting stronger

Dylan Reimers, the reigning NWC Champion in both the men's 1,650 freestyle and 500 freestyle, swam well at the Whitman. He won those very two events against the Blues, finish the 1,650 freestyle in 17:04.86, and the 500 freestyle in 5:00.00.


Looking ahead

Following a dual at Pacific Lutheran (Jan. 26), Puget Sound hosts the NWC Championships, Feb. 7-10, at the Weyerhaueser King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way, Washington.
