Logger Track and Field Opens Indoor Season at UW Preview

SEATTLE, Wash. - Freshman pole vaulter Travis Stull (Dallas, Texas/Greenhill) cleared the second best height in Puget Sound indoor track and field history as the Loggers opened up the 2010 indoor season on Saturday at the UW Preview Meet at Dempsey Indoor in Seattle, Wash.

Stull tied for ninth among the mainly NCAA Division II field, clearing 13-1.75 to take over second place on the Loggers' indoor top ten in just his first collegiate meet.  Hayley Walker (Cambria, Calif./Coast Union) also had a personal best, posting a 10:59.18 in the 3000m to move to eighth on the top ten list.

Senior Francis Reynolds (Palo Alto, Calif.) took eighth in the men's 3000m run, posting a time of 8:53.43.  Sophomore Alec DiMario (Lake Forest, Ill.) went 18-1.5 in the men's long jump to take 11th in his flight.  

The Loggers will be back in action on Jan. 29 when they head back up to Seattle for the UW Invitational.
