NEWBERG, Oregon – The men's and women's outdoor track & field teams competed in the Rich Allen Classic hosted by George Fox on Saturday.
For the Logger men, Nick Nestingen finished fourth in the 100-m (12.21). Sam Carilli was fourth in the 1500 meters (4:10.95), while Geremia Lizier-Zmudzinski placed first in the 3000 meter steeplechase with a time of 10:00.73.
On the women's side, Allanah Whitehall earned a victory in the 100 meter dash (12.13) and 200 meters (24.99). The Loggers took first and second in the 800 meters, with Emery Bradlina earning the victory with a time of 2:19.19, and Alison Wise finishing just behind (2:19.74). Tori Klein finished third in the 1500 meters (4:58.59) and Taili Ni was fourth (4:59.21). Ni was also third in the 5000 (18:45.36) while Klein was fourth (19:08.11). Elizabeth King finished second in the pole vault (3.41m).
Puget Sound will next compete in the NWC Multi-Events beginning Monday, April 11.
