Track & field teams finish fifth at Pioneer Invitational

PORTLAND, Oregon – The Puget Sound men's and women's track & field both finished fifth at the Pioneers Invitational hosted by Lewis & Clark on Saturday afternoon. The Logger men totaled 57 points, and the women finished with 71. George Fox (154 points) won the men's event, and Linfield (199 points) won the women's.


Matt Wells won the men's 110-m hurdles by timing in at 15.14 seconds. He also placed in third in the high jump by clearing 1.77-m. Isaac Fournier placed second in the men's 800-m by finishing in 1:56.02.

On the women's side, Anna Joseph finished second in the 100-m dash (12.81) and Logan Bays finished fourth (12.84). Joseph was the top finisher in the 200-m with a time of 26.44.

Emery Bradlina (58.43) and Alison Wise (1:02.22) finished first and second, respectively, in the 400-m.

The Loggers next compete in the Northwest Championships, April 21-22, at Whitworth.
