TACOMA, Washington - Jamie Lange became the third Puget Sound women's basketball member this season to be named the Northwest Conference Student-Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Monday. Gia Sorn and Cassidy Daugherty both earned the honor earlier this season.
Lange's monumental week also brought in a Logger Club Logger of the Week honor. Lange entered Puget Sound's game at Pacific Lutheran (Jan. 22) with 995 career points. She reached the millennial milestone just 3:30 into the game. Lange totaled 19 points and eight rebounds during the Loggers' 83-71 win over the Lutes.
Three days later, Lange grabbed a season-high 19 rebounds during home loss against No. 14/12 George Fox, 67-60 (Jan. 25). Lange is the Northwest Conference's third-leading scorer (17.0) and second-leading rebounder (10.9).
Puget Sound is back in Memorial Fieldhouse to host Linfield Friday, Feb. 1, at 6 p.m.
