Loggers welcome Whitman for Senior Day

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound women's lacrosse team is set host Whitman this weekend. The game will serve as Senior Day.

Puget Sound's last game

The Loggers hosted and fell to George Fox last weekend, 20-7. Four different Puget Sound players scored in the game, including multi-goal games from Kerri Smith and Roxanne Krietzman.

Senior Day

Sunday will be the last home game of the 2016 season, and the Logger seniors, Leah Stromberg, Kerri Smith, and Callie Holgate, will be honored for their play before the game.

Kerri on

Kerri Smith missed last season with an injury, but she is back with a vengeance in 2016. The senior leads the Loggers with 18 goals scored this season, as well as 22 draw controls and ground ball pickups.

Scouting Whitman (2-8, 2-2 NWC)

Whitman most recently defeated Linfield, 16-5, after falling to Pacific, 19-6. Lindsay Schwartz has scored 39 goals to lead Whitman. Goalkeeper Savannah McNichol is 2-7. She has made 46 saves and has a 12.86 goals against average.
