    Jamie Lange’s phenomenal 2018-19 year continues to garner awards. Thursday night, Lange received the Tacoma Athletic Commission’s award for the 2019 Tacoma-Pierce County Female Amateur Athlete of the Year. She accepted the honor in front of more than 500 attendees at the Champions Dinner in the McGavick Conference Center in Lakewood, Washington.
  • Vari resigns as Puget Sound women's soccer head coach

    Joe Vari announced he is resigning from his position as Puget Sound’s women’s soccer head coach. He accepted the head coaching position at Bates College, a NCAA Division-III program in Lewiston, Maine.

    Puget Sound Athletics finished fourth for the 2018-19 Northwest Conference McIlroy-Lewis All-Sports Trophy, rounding out the academic year with 198 points. The Loggers matched Whitman in the standings, and Whitworth led the NWC with 268 points.

    The Loggers are back on top. The 2018 Puget Sound women’s soccer team brought home the program’s 16th Northwest Conference title since the 2000 season, and it earned an automatic bid for the NCAA Championship.

    The Puget Sound women’s soccer team is back in the NCAA D-III Championship for the first time since the 2015 season. Puget Sound begins postseason play in Abilene, Texas, where the Loggers take on host school Hardin-Simmons Saturday, Nov. 10. The game starts at 11 a.m. (PT).

    Instead of watching its 2018 season slip away, the Puget Sound women’s soccer team rallied from a 2-0 deficit to beat Linfield, 3-2, Sunday afternoon. The final game of the regular season was a must-win contest for the Loggers, who now share the Northwest Conference title with Pacific Lutheran.
