
TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's and women's tennis teams are set play Pacific Lutheran and George Fox this weekend. The men will host PLU before traveling to George Fox, while the women will be on the road at PLU, before playing George Fox at home. The women will also host the College of Idaho on Friday to begin the weekend.

Scouting the Loggers (0-3, 0-3 NWC)
Puget Sound opened the 2016 season with a close loss to Linfield, 5-4. The Loggers fell, 9-0, to Pacific and Lewis & Clark last weekend. Riley Inn won his first singles match against the Wildcats, and fell in a tie-breaker against Pacific.
Scouting the Lutes (0-4, 0-4 NWC)
The Pacific Lutheran men's tennis team has been swept, 9-0, by Pacific, Lewis & Clark, and George Fox. They lost a narrow match to Willamette, 5-4. Senior Jeremy Marsh leads the Lutes.
Scouting the Bruins (2-4, 1-2 NWC)
George Fox began the Northwest Conference schedule with a 9-0 loss to Whitman, before falling, 6-3, to Whitworth. Most recently the Bruins defeated Pacific Lutheran, 9-0. Spencer Watanabe plays at No. 1 doubles and No. 1 singles to lead George Fox. The junior is 4-2 in all matches.

Scouting Puget Sound (0-5, 0-3 NWC)
The Loggers fell, 9-0, to No. 35-ranked Linfield to begin Northwest Conference play. Last weekend, the team was edged by Pacific, 5-4, before falling, 8-1, to No. 20 Lewis & Clark. Tresa Bild won both her doubles and singles match on Saturday against the Boxers.
Scouting the Coyotes (2-2)
The College of Idaho is located in Caldwell, Idaho, and the team competes in the Cascade Collegiate Conference in the NAIA. The team has not played since they defeated the Loggers, 6-3, and 8-1, in a doubleheader on Feb. 13.
Scouting the Lutes (2-3, 2-2 NWC)
Pacific Lutheran most recently fell to George Fox (7-2), and Lewis & Clark (6-3), after beginning the NWC schedule with victories over Willamette (8-1) and Pacific (5-4). The Lutes' No. 6 singles player, Lilly Le, is 4-0 this season.
Scouting the Bruins (2-1, 2-1 NWC)
George Fox began the Northwest Conference schedule with a 6-3 loss to Whitman, before defeating Whitworth (5-4), and Pacific Lutheran (7-2). The Bruins' No. 1, Sarah Tuemmler, and No. 4, Ellen Pearson, are each undefeated this season.
