Logger tennis teams continue NWC schedule this weekend

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound tennis teams return to the courts for Northwest Conference matches this weekend. The Logger men compete at Pacific Lutheran, Saturday, March 24 at 1 p.m., and the Logger women host Linfield, Sunday, March 25, at 12 p.m.

 

Surging women

The Puget Sound women have won three consecutive matches, all against NWC opponents (Pacific, Willamette, George Fox). Puget Sound has dominated singles competition during the streak, winning 13 out of 18 matches.

 

Ow(e)ning the moment

Puget Sound's top women's competitor, Lisa Owen, has lost just once in her last six matches. She has competed at No. 1 singles and No. 2 doubles all season.

Close call against Willamette

The Logger men battled hard at Willamette (March 10), but Puget Sound lost a close one, 5-4. Riley Inn won at No. 2 singles, and he teamed up with Joe McRoberts to win at No. 1 doubles.

 

Down the stretch

Following this weekend, the Logger men have three more matches left in 2018, and the Logger women have four. Both teams have two more home matches left.
