McMINNVILLE, Ore. – Stephanie O'Connor had 13 kills and 29 digs to lead the Puget Sound volleyball team to a 25-19, 26-24, 14-25, 25-13 win at Linfield on Saturday. The Loggers (15-3, 7-3 NWC) hit .146 as a team and limited the Wildcats (8-11, 3-7 NWC) to .092 hitting to earn the four-set victory.
After the Loggers took the firsty set behind .360 hitting, both teams struggled to find an offensive flow. The Loggers hit .000 in the second set but snuck away with a 2-0 lead after limiting Linfield to -.037 hitting in the set. The Loggers hit in the negatives in the third set as Linfield took its lone set victory.
In the fourth set, the Loggers found the groove again as they hit .486 to sprint away with the win in the set and the match.
The Loggers return home Wednesday for a big match with Pacific Lutheran at 7 p.m.
