Pirates top Loggers, 3-0

TACOMA, Washington – The defending Northwest Conference champions overwhelmed the Puget Sound volleyball team, as the Loggers lost the Pirates, 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-20), in Memorial Fieldhouse Saturday night. 

Moira McVicar finished with her second consecutive double-double, and third of the season, with 19 assists and 10 digs. Rachael Garrison led the Loggers (4-5, 1-1 NWC) with 12 digs.

Whitworth (4-6, 1-1 NWC) totaled six blocks and finished with a .287 attack percentage.

Puget Sound is scheduled for its first road conference game of the season on Friday, Sept. 22, at George Fox.
