The final matches of the volleyball season are this weekend

TACOMA, Washington - The 2018 Puget Sound volleyball season comes to a close this weekend when the Loggers play at Willamette Friday, Nov. 2,  and at Pacific Saturday, Nov. 3.

Out in style

The Loggers won their final home match of the season against Whitman, 3-1, Oct. 27. Prior to the match, the Loggers honored their four seniors and their loved ones: Madie Lage, Kristen Miguel, Katarina Moffett, and Marcelle Rutherfurd. Miguel had 10 kills in the win.


Aced the headline

Three Loggers rank in the Northwest Conference's top five for service aces per set. Alli Reviglio is second in the NWC (0.53 aces per set) followed Jordan Holman in third (0.51), and Sarah Blumenfeld tied for fourth (0.44). As a team, Puget Sound leads the NWC in aces per set (2.22).


Melanie's block

Melanie Siacotos ranked fourth in the conference for blocks per set (0.94). She has at least five blocks in six matches this season, including a season-high 10 at Whitman (Sept. 29).


All-in Alli

Alli Reviglio has showcased her versatility all season. She leads the team in kills (165) and service aces (41), ranks second in digs (209), and third in blocks (30).


Scouting Willamette (9-14, 6-8 NWC)

The Bearcats enter the weekend with three consecutive losses. They lost to Puget Sound, 3-1, erlier this season in Memorial Fieldhouse (Oct. 5). Willamette's .146 hitting percentage is the second-lowest in the NWC. Natalie Klotz has a team-high 201 kills, and Jennifer Lane leads Willamette with 65 blocks.


Scouting Pacific (17-7, 10-4 NWC)

The Boxers enter this weekend with six wins in their last seven matches. That stretch started after a 3-0 loss at Puget Sound (Oct. 6). Haley Walz leads the NWC in digs (431), and Morgan Mendicino averages a conference-best 0.54 service aces per set. Karliee Duncan and Milana Ivkovic are tied for the team-lead in kills (239).
