FOREST GROVE, Calif. – Three Loggers finished in the top-10 for the women's team as the Puget Sound women's cross country team finished third at the Boxer Rebellion on Saturday. The men's team finished fourth with Matt Klein leading the way in 7th place.
Kathryn Flyte, Molly Bradbury and Laura Leach finished 7-8-9 in the women's 6k to led the Loggers. Flyte finished at 23:49.4, followed by Bradbury at 23:56.1 and Leach at 24:00.4. Carrie Keith wasn't far behind in 12th at 24:09.1 and Alicia Burns rounded out the scoring Loggers in 18th at 24:37.4.
Whitman took the team title with 40 points followed by Lewis & Clark with 47 points. The Loggers were third with 54 points. Pacific and George Fox placed fourth and fifth with 106 and 108 points respectively.
Klein placed seventh to lead the men's team in the 8k. He finished at 27:07.3. Casey Wall was next to finish at 27:46.50 in 14th. Josh Seekatz wasn't too far behind as he finished in 16th with a time of 27:51.9. Justin Higa's 28:11.2 was good enough to finish 21st and Patrick Graham finished with a time of 28:33 to finish in 26th.
Whitman took the team title on the men's side, followed by Lewis & Clark on Pacific. The Loggers finished fourth and George Fox finished fifth.
The Loggers will gear up for the Northwest Conference Championships on Oct. 29 in Brooks, Ore.
