Logger men second, women third at NWC Championships

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's cross country team placed second out of nine teams at the Northwest Conference Championships hosted by Willamette on Saturday, while the women's team finished third out of nine.


David Santillan was the top Puget Sound finisher in the 8k coming in fifth place overall with a time of 26:04.30. Close behind were Joshua Seekatz and Sam Carilli coming in seventh and 11th respectively with times of 26:11.70 and 26:22.20.
The men place second for the second-consecutive year, with Santillan leading the Loggers in both years. 

On the women's side, Molly Bradbury finished with Puget Sound's top time; 22:42.40 in the 6k for eighth place overall. Sierra Grunwald and Tori Klein were separated by less than one second as they came in 11th and 12th with times of 22:51.70 and 22:52.40.

The Loggers now have one week off to prepare for the NCAA West Regional on Nov. 15 in Independence, Ore. The men race at 11am and the women race at 12pm.
