TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men's cross country team placed sixth out of 17 teams at the NCAA Division-III West Regional hosted by Willamette on Saturday, while the women's team finished eighth out of 19.
David Santillan was once again the top Puget Sound finisher in the 8k coming in ninth place overall with a time of 25:50.70. The next two finishers for Puget Sound included Justin Higa and Sam Carilli. They finished back to back in 36th and 37th place with times of 26:35.40 and 26:39.60.
On the women's side, Tori Klein finished with Puget Sound's top time. She placed 23rd with a time of 23:10.40 in the 6k. Molly Bradbury finished on the heels of Klein with a time of 23:14.80 for 27th place. Taili Ni also ran well for the Loggers coming in at 23:29.10, good for 36th overall.
Santillan, Klein and Bradbury's finishing marks place them on the All-Region team. Santillan additionally qualified to compete in the NCAA Division-III National Championships that will take place on Nov. 22 in Mason, Ohio.
