Puget Sound places four All-NWC runners during championships

TACOMA, Washington – Four Puget Sound cross country runners earned All-Northwest Conference honors during the NWC Championships hosted by Pacific Lutheran on Saturday. The Logger men's team placed second overall and the women's squad placed fourth.

Tyler Shipley won the men's race with a time of 25:48, and Geremia Lizier-Zmudzinski finished second at 26:04. The duo's one-two finish marks the third time this season that Shipley and Lizier-Zmudzinski placed first and second in a race. Both were named to the All-NWC First Team.

Sam Carilli earned All-NWC Second Team by finishing ninth overall with a time of 26:58. Willamette won the men's race as a team.

On the women's side, Taili Ni earned All-NWC First Team with a seventh-place finish (23:24). Madison Bolejack was the Loggers' next-best finisher with a time of 24:51, good for 28th overall. Whitworth won the women's event as a team.
