Lizier-Zmudzinski leads the charge in Puget Sound Invite

STEILACOOM, WashingtonGeremia Lizier-Zmudzinski won the men's portion of the Puget Sound invitational as both the men's and women's cross country teams finished second in the opening meet of the cross country season.

Three Loggers placed among the top 10 finishes of the women's race, led by Tori Klein's third-place finish with a time of 23:45.10. Rachel Covey came in sixth (25:13.50), Emery Bradlina seventh (25:16.30), and Terra Wildon (25:17.60).

Lizier-Zmudzinski, who placed second in the 2015 Northwest Conference Men's Cross Country Championship, picked up right where he left off last fall. Jack Monaghan also had a good showing placing fifth with a time of 27:34.00.

St. Martin's won both the men's and women's team races.

The Loggers have a week off from competing before running in the Sundodger Invitational in Seattle on Sept. 17.
