Lizier-Zmudzinski named NWC Student-Athlete of the Week

TACOMA, Washington – Puget Sound sophomore Geremia Lizier-Zmudzinski has been named the Northwest Conference Men's Cross Country Student-Athlete of the Week, the NWC announced Tuesday.

Lizier-Zmudzinski, who placed second in the 2015 NWC Cross Country Championship, opened the 2016 season by winning the Puget Sound Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 3.

The Forest Grove, Oregon, native finished the 8k with a time of 26:43, 17 seconds ahead of the next finisher. The Logger men placed second as a team.

The Puget Sound men's and women's cross country teams next compete in the Sundodger Invitational on Sept. 17 in Seattle.
