Puget Sound prepares for NWC Cross Country Championships

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound cross country teams gear up for the Northwest Championships at Willamette Mission State Park in Brooks, Oregon, on Saturday, Oct. 29. George Fox is hosting the event

The women's 6k race begins at 10 a.m., and the men's 8k starts at 11 a.m. Ceremonies and awards will be held at approximately 12 p.m.


Last year's Championships

Tyler Shipley '16 won the men's 2015 NWC Championship, and Geremia Lizier-Zmudzinski placed second. Overall, the men placed second as a team. The Logger women placed fourth as a team.


Klein on the rise

Tori Klein has been on the rise in recent races. She placed eighth overall in the Lewis & Clark Invitational on Oct. 15. Klein also finished 32nd out of 189 women's runners during the Chuck Bowles Invitational on Oct. 1.
