Logger tennis teams fall to Pacific Lutheran

TACOMA, Washington – The Puget Sound men’s tennis team lost at Pacific Lutheran, 7-2, on Sunday, while the Logger women hosted and lost the Lutes, 9-0.

Daniel Deuel handedly won his No. 3 singles match, 6-2, 6-0. Jacob Kompolt needed a little magic to win at No. 6 singles. He lost the first set, 6-3, but then won the second set, 7-6. Kompolt was victorious in the decisive game, 10-7.

On the women’s side, Elizabeth Chao dropped a heart-breaking match at No. 1 singles, 7-5, 7-5.

The Puget Sound men play at Whitman on Friday, April 17, at 4:30 p.m., and the women next host Whitworth on Saturday, April 18, at 3 p.m.
